My name is Tim Hoeppner and I am an electronic hobbyist and industry product designer. I grew up south of Morden, Manitoba, Canada on a small dairy and grain farm. That is where I developed an interest in figuring how things work, first in computers and programming and eventually ending up in electronics.
I still remember reading some of the first tutorials on electronics on the website called HowStuffWorks (how appropriate). The first electronic circuit that I ever built was based on the digital logic tutorial. After that I was hooked. I become fascinated with the transistor and how it behaved, eventually leading me into picking up an Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Manitoba. At this point, I’ve been working full-time in industry since 2010.
